MONTHY MANUAL | MARCH

FOLLOWING (and working out too)
If you’re into Pilates, you’ve probably come across Bianca Melas, an Alo Moves instructor currently based in Sydney. I really recommend giving one of her classes a shot—it’s easy to start with a free trial on Alo Moves! And if you’re in Sydney, you should definitely check her out at BodyLove in Woollahara, NSW.
What’s great about Bianca is that she’s also a Naturopath, which might explain why she’s such an amazing instructor. She really uses movement as both an outlet and a powerful tool to stay in tune with her body, and her workouts are perfectly aligned with your cycle.
I had the pleasure of attending a hormone workshop where I got to meet Bianca, and I walked away feeling so inspired to start actually listening to my body during workouts instead of always just pushing myself. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to female health, so I highly recommend following her on social media for all her fantastic tips and tricks for optimising your hormones! A few great easy tips in this post.
READING & LISTENING
This ‘theory’ is pure GOLD! It has truly made a remarkable difference in my life, especially when it comes to reducing stress. I have to admit, it took me a little while to warm up to Mel Robbins; I had tried tuning into her podcasts before but didn’t quite connect until I stumbled upon an episode on The Diary of a CEO, which happens to be my absolute favorite podcast!
After hearing that episode, I couldn’t resist picking up her book. Now, whenever I find myself slipping back into old habits of trying to control everything around me—something you'll soon realise is both impossible and exhausting—I just listen to or read a chapter.
As Mel puts it, "The Let Them Theory is a step-by-step guide on how to stop letting other people's opinions, drama, and judgment impact your life." Essentially, this theory encourages you to let others do their thing without letting it mess with your vibe.
I honestly had no idea how much time and energy I was wasting trying to control the wrong things—whether it was at work, in my friendships, or even getting frustrated in a queue because someone was taking forever to check out.
I’m usually not one for Audible, but I have to say, this one is fantastic in that format too! I've been enjoying morning beach walks while listening to it—it’s still lovely and warm here in Perth.
WATCHING
White Lotus
I am currently watching the third season of White Lotus and like previous seasons, I am absolutely loving it. In brief, the show follows the experiences of various guests and employees at a luxurious resort over the course of a week. This season takes us to Thailand, with season one in Hawaii and season two in Sicily.
What makes this show so good is the acting and the writing. Each character is beautifully written and acted, there isn't a weak link in either season. I would love to hear who your favourite character is in season 3 so far? I am loving Chelsea - I find her hilarious.
LOVING
I used to be a big fan of Frank Green until I came across this video. I'm not the best at keeping my water bottle clean (who is, right?). I take it everywhere with me, so the last thing I want is to be without it while I clean it. I had even noticed some mould growing on mine but brushed it off until I saw Katherin's post, which made me stop sipping and get to cleaning right away.
The Frank green bottles are pretty tricky to clean, and the fact that the straw is plastic did make me a bit uneasy about using it all day. After doing a bit of research (or really just reading Jordan Pies post), I've discovered the perfect water bottle: Cheeki stainless steel!
It's super lightweight, definitely less heavy than Frank Green. Plus, it’s made entirely without plastic—just a stainless steel lid and a cute bamboo top. It's free from BPA and other harmful chemicals often found in plastic bottles, and it’s really durable, keeps your water cool, and best of all, is incredibly easy to clean.
So, in short, remember to clean your water bottles and purchase a bottle that is easy to keep mould free. I always see Jordie Pie providing discounts for good water bottles - she's worth a follow and lists a code here for a water filter too.
