Our current MOTHER SPF range has been a lifesaver for those with sensitive to dry skin. With hydrating formulations that leave your skin feeling wonderfully nourished. But we totally understand that if you have oily skin, the last thing you want is to highlight this with a dewy halo. 

As a result, many with acne-prone skin often hesitate to use sunscreen, worried it’ll be greasy and pore-clogging—and that’s definitely not what we want. Just a gentle reminder: you really need to wear sunscreen every single day.

While finding a balance between oily skin, TGA approved sunscreens, and using only natural organic ingredients isn't a walk in the park, after years of testing, sampling, and a good 4+ years in development, we’ve crafted a mineral sunscreen that effectively blocks UV rays without any unwanted shine or stickiness.

When it comes to crafting TGA approved, non-greasy sunscreen formulations, many brands rely on various strategies that use chemical ingredients. They often choose light, fast-absorbing oils or incorporate silicone derivatives. The challenge, however, is that most of these fast-absorbing oils are either seed oils (which can be pro-inflammatory), mineral oils (derived from petroleum), or silicone-based (which are essentially plastic polymers). None of these options truly offer genuine health benefits for the skin—or for our friend Mother Nature.

So, how did we manage to create a worthy product while staying true to our unwavering commitment to skin health? By tirelessly sourcing plant-based oils and emollients that deliver hydration without the greasiness, harnessing natural, lightweight film-forming agents, and integrating oil-absorbing ingredients like Tapioca Starch.

While every ingredient in Mineral Mousse is effective, the following are particularly noteworthy.

Zinc Oxide: This sunscreen ingredient not only shields your skin from the sun but also calms existing breakouts and irritation due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.

Niacinamide: Regulates oil production, improves skin barrier function, and reduces inflammation, leading to a smoother texture and less noticeable pores.

Geranium Rose: This ingredient boasts powerful anti-inflammatory properties, tackling the root of most skin issues, and it also adds a delightful scent.

Tapioca Starch: Naturally mattifying, it absorbs excess sebum, smoothing the skin and tightening pores, making it ideal for oily skin.

Jojoba Oil: Technically a wax ester, it closely resembles human sebum, helping to balance the skin's oil production.

With a lightweight, whipped consistency, this sunscreen provides a burst of hydration while leaving a soft-focus, dry finish. There’s no greasy sheen or sticky residue—just smooth, moisturised & protected skin.
