MONTHLY MANUAL: December
One of my favourite parts about MOTHER SPF is connecting with you, our supportive conscious community.
With that in mind, I would love to share what I am reading, listening, following and loving each month, in the hopes that they might provide you with some joy and inspiration too.
READING:
Letting Go: The Pathway of Surrender, David Hawkins
This one might be a surprising addition to the list, but it has really changed how I think about relationships. It’s full of profound spiritual teachings and ultimately describes an effective way to let go to achieve inner peace.
WATCHING:
Netflix’s newest miniseries exploring the story behind Purdue Pharma, the Sackler family and America’s opioid epidemic. Everyone knows that the opioid crisis is bad, but this is the origin story of the collision between medicine and money that allowed it to happen... and it's frightening that the story is still continuing to play out in real time.
LOVING:
Vitamin C is necessary to produce collagen, which supports skin strength and elasticity. As we age, our collagen levels start to decline. By boosting our vitamin C intake, we can help facilitate optimal collagen production.
Tip: Make sure it's a Liposomal version of Vitamin C.
Liposomal Vitamin C is simply more bioavailable than other forms of vitamin C, making it the superior option. I like the Cymbiotika one - no unnecessary additives, science backed and doesn't taste horrible.
EATING:
High fibre, plant-based recipe I love having prepped and ready to go for lunch during a busy week. I love adding a can of tuna or some boiled eggs to it to boost the protein intake.
Favourite Tuna brand is Good Fish. Wild-caught, BPA free and they use extra virgin olive oil.
Decembers New Perspective: When in doubt, Zoom Out.
